Gas leak detectors · OEM & wholesale
Gas leak detectors plug-in, hardwired, battery and handheld detectors for your brand
A gas leak detector is the broadest entry into home safety: one product family covers homes on piped natural gas, RVs and cabins on propane, and every household that burns fuel and worries about carbon monoxide. SirenForge supplies gas leak detectors to security and smart-home brands, hardware and home-improvement brands, retailers, RV and camping channels, property managers and project buyers — plug-in and hardwired combustible gas alarms, battery and 12 V units, handheld leak finders and combination gas + CO detectors — finished with your logo, manual and packaging. Need a single-gas model? See natural gas (methane) detectors for homes with piped gas, or propane (LPG) detectors for RVs, boats, camping and tank-fed kitchens.
- Combustible gas (methane, propane, butane), CO and combination units
- Plug-in, hardwired, battery, 12 V DC and handheld formats
- Display, voice alarm, relay output and smart options per SKU
- Test reports / certification documentation arranged per order for your market

Gas leak detector types we supply
- Plug-in combustible gas alarms — plug straight into a wall outlet; some models add a cord so the detector can sit at the right height for the gas (high for methane, low for propane). The volume format for retail.
- Hardwired and wall-mount alarms — 120 V or low-voltage units, often with battery backup and an optional relay to close a gas shutoff valve; common in property and project supply.
- Battery and 12 V DC detectors — for places without a convenient outlet, and for RVs, vans and boats wired on 12 V.
- Handheld gas leak detectors — a flexible gooseneck probe with an audible ticking rate and LED bar to trace a leak along pipes, fittings and appliance connections; sold to tradespeople, DIY retail and property maintenance teams.
- Combination gas + CO detectors — one housing with a combustible gas sensor and a carbon monoxide sensor; see the CO section below.
Which one fits depends on the gas. Methane (natural gas) is lighter than air and collects high; propane (LPG) is heavier than air and collects low. That is why we keep two dedicated lines: natural gas detectors mounted high, and propane gas detectors mounted low.
Sensor technologies: semiconductor, catalytic bead, electrochemical
Semiconductor (metal-oxide) sensors change resistance when combustible gas reaches a heated sensing layer. They respond to methane, propane and butane, are cost-effective and dominate household plug-in alarms; the heater means they normally run on mains or 12 V power. Catalytic bead (pellistor) sensors oxidize gas on a heated bead and measure the temperature change, reading in % of the lower explosive limit (%LEL); they are more common in handheld and professional instruments. Electrochemical sensors are the usual choice for carbon monoxide: low power, battery-friendly, with a finite sensor life that should drive an end-of-life signal. The specs & selection guide compares all three.
Carbon monoxide detectors and combination gas + CO alarms
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a different hazard from a gas leak: it is a combustion by-product of furnaces, water heaters, stoves, generators and vehicles, and it has no smell. Buyers who sell gas leak detectors are usually asked for CO too, so we quote:
- Battery CO detectors with electrochemical sensors, optional digital ppm display and end-of-life signal;
- Plug-in CO detectors with battery backup;
- Combination natural gas + CO and propane + CO units — popular for homes with gas appliances and for RVs.
CO alarm thresholds, response times and sound levels are defined by the standard of your market. They are specified per SKU and confirmed with documentation per order — we do not publish them here. CO alarms are a regulated product in many jurisdictions; the listing your retailer requires is confirmed at the brief stage.
Features you can specify
- Alarm: horn sound level specified per SKU, flashing LED, optional voice alarm (“Warning, gas detected”).
- Display: none, LED status, or digital readout (%LEL for combustible gas, ppm for CO).
- Controls: test / hush button, power-on self-test, fault and end-of-life signals.
- Outputs: relay or 12 V output to drive a shutoff valve or exhaust fan on hardwired models.
- Connectivity: Wi-Fi / Zigbee smart versions and interconnect on selected platforms — quoted per SKU.
- Housing: color, logo, label and plug type for the US (120 V) or other markets.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a gas leak detector and a CO detector?
A gas leak detector senses combustible fuel gas (natural gas / methane, propane, butane) escaping from pipes or appliances. A CO detector senses carbon monoxide produced by incomplete combustion. They use different sensors; combination units put both in one housing.
Should I sell a natural gas or a propane detector?
It depends on the customer’s fuel. Natural gas (methane) rises, so detectors mount high; propane sinks, so detectors mount low. See natural gas detectors and propane gas detectors.
Do you make handheld gas leak detectors for finding leaks in pipes?
Yes — gooseneck-probe handheld detectors with an audible ticking rate and LED bar are part of the range, with your logo and case.
Can you add Wi-Fi or a shutoff-valve output?
Yes, on selected platforms. Smart connectivity, interconnect and relay outputs are quoted per SKU.
Can these detectors replace code-required alarms?
No. Detectors supplied through this program complement — they do not replace — professionally installed and code-required smoke, carbon monoxide or gas alarm systems. Which alarms a building needs, and where they go, is set by local codes and the installer. We make no life-safety guarantees; the user manual, labelling and any claim on your packaging are the brand owner’s responsibility.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on the platform (an existing detector, safe or bag design vs. a new one), housing or fabric color, logo method, packaging and the documentation your market needs; lead time depends on customization, documentation and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also the packaging & MOQ section of our specs guide.
Are your products certified or tested?
We do not display certification marks, listings, fire ratings or test data on this site. Test reports and certification documentation can be provided or arranged per order for your market, as your brand requires: tell us the destination market, sales channel and the standard or listing your retailer asks for, and the quotation confirms which documentation applies to each SKU and how it is obtained. Detection and fire-resistance performance is specified per SKU and confirmed with documentation per order — see the documentation section of our specs guide or ask on the inquiry form.
